Honouring Life Drive-Thru of Lights and Hope Ride

Oki Siksikawa – This year, on March 20th, 2021, we are dedicating this day to be a day of Hope which aligns with the Spring Equinox.

In the Blackfoot culture, this is a day of renewal and Hope, where the sun begins to overcome the darkness. This day is a movement to empower those struggling with mental health issues and recognize the importance of Hope when struggling with mental health issues.

Siksika Mental Health and Community Wellness will be hosting a “Siksika Day of Hope – Honouring Life” Drive-Thru of Lights and Hope Ride. The event will take place on March 19th & 20th, 2021, at the Siksika Piiksapi Memorial Arbor from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. We ask that Nation members do not get out of their vehicles, and we want to ensure everyone that our SHS staff will follow all COVID-19 guidelines.

*NOTE: On Saturday, March 20th, t-shirts, goodies and info bags will be given out to the first 150 vehicles. We hope to see you there!
