Jack Royal, Chief Executive Officer of the Blackfoot Confederacy Tribal Council, is a respected leader in the Indigenous economy and a dedicated advocate for Indigenous communities. He also serves as Vice-Chair on the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA) Board of Directors. A proud member of the Siksikaitsitapi Blackfoot Confederacy, Jack has worked tirelessly to support Indigenous entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to start successful businesses. His commitment to financial literacy within Indigenous communities reflects his passion for empowering individuals with the understanding of how money works.

Under his leadership, the Blackfoot Confederacy Tribal Council opened an office in Calgary in 2018, with the aim of addressing the common issues faced by its member Nations. Initially taking a short lease on a space behind the Blackfoot Inn, Jack and his team sought to evaluate and meet the needs of the Confederacy. The Confederacy, representing the linguistically related groups of the Siksika, Kainai-Blood Tribe, and Peigan-Piikani in southern Alberta, as well as the Aamskapi Pikuni in Montana, is dedicated to serving and uniting these groups for collective progress. Jack’s leadership continues to drive initiatives that support and uplift Blackfoot People and the Blackfoot Confederacy.
